Waterford Past-Thymes has been pressing and preserving flowers
for twelve years using the most DEPENDABLE and RELIABLE method
of flower preservation.
We prepare the flowers with a process that
presses and preserves the flowers, but most importantly, this
process destroys any organisms that could harm the
color or integrity of the flower. We neither need nor
use any chemicals or additives.
Your wedding flowers are photographed on arrival, so they can be
reproduced as closely as possible to the shape of your bouquet,
if that is your wish. (One may also opt to have their wedding flowers surround their invitation or photo OR have their flowers artistically
arranged "freestyle".)
The flowers are arranged on foam-board covered with a layer of batting, your choice of material and frame, then sealed completely to preserve
their continued splendor.
THE PROCESS:
After the flowers are preserved and ready to frame, (about 2 weeks) we loosely lay your flowers
out in the arrangement, on the fabric, and in
the frame you’ve specified, (however, we usually lay out other options, as well, because VERY often the bride changes her frame/fabric/arrangement
decision when she has a visual image in front of her). Each presentation is then photographed and emailed to you. (We refer to this as the ‘DEMO” stage.)
These digital images are VERY rough drafts! This is to further insure your preservation is perfect for YOU. When we receive the final
approval for the specified chosen arrangement, we begin the final construction. The balance is due upon completion and your preservation is shipped
to you free of charge via UPS.
Your special occasion flowers or our
supply of pressed flowers
can be artisically arranged to enhance your mementos, according to your
personal preferences. Or you may decide to have your special
occasion flowers preserved and framed ALONE as a lifetime rememberance
of a time gone by. Our design consultant will help you with this, if
need be.
